Some idiot bombarded my weblog with 44 copies of the same comment to one of my post yesterday. This is the main part of the comment that was left:

Looks like I’ll have to come up with some other form of blacklisting to get rid of spam in the form of comments. Lately it seems that one of my posts in particular keeps getting spammed. This has caused me to start some comment moderation. Well at least it doesn’t get much spam in it.

Rampant email viruses

There has been a strangely increasing amount of spam with virus attachments sent to my email. I’ve gotten more of these emails within the last few days than I’ve ever got before. 2 additional yesterday and 2 more just today. They didn’t effect or infect me.
This time attachments with file the names:

Manufacture.zlv
Alive_condom.com
Counter_strike.vbs
bateaqxiqy.jpeg
Message.zip

I got a few funny emails recently. Too funny for words and an obvious attempt at forging, spoofing and phishing! Here’s one:

Dig this crazy e-mail…

I got and e-mail Monday. The text reads (it did not have a subject, mind you):
tu parle rancais, je ne vais pas t’agresser. Je suis le proprietaire du mot EKLECTIK; il faut que tu m’expiques le comment du pourquoi
Google (and Altavista’s Babel Fish) translates it to this from French:
you speaks rancais, I will not attack [...]
