One word about my score, “Buwahahah!”
All hail the monstrous nerd. You are by far the SUPREME NERD GOD!!!
Upgraded the main section of my website to WordPress so I don’t have to keep updating by hand and posting only a sentence to a small paragraph. This will make things more centralized and will serve as my new “weblog”. As far as the layout is concerned, I decided to settle using the widely available theme of K2 instead of creating my own layout this time around. Although I did tweak a few of the files and CSS a bit. There is still a bit changes to do, but I feel that now I should be able to concentrate on posting and thinking of a layout of my own.
Server-side, I upgraded the PHP from version 4.4.2 to 5.1.2. I had been holding off the upgrade due to not really wanting to deal with SSH and shell scripts at the time. Luckily, my web host now has a easy way via a button to upgrade the PHP version along with other things. It was way easy!
Lastly, the centralization and the rethinking of my website also marks the end of my original weblog which is now integrated into the main part of the site, Under the Rose Arcana. It’s use has slowly waned and I’m planning to maybe switch it over to static HTML or something since it will no longer be updated with entries or comments. It’s kind of sad and lame really—only receiving two legitimate comments during it’s run.
It’s the 7th year anniversary of my site. Happy Hallowe’en!
Happy 16th Birthday Gendun Choekyi Nyima—where ever you are.
Dang it! The All Consuming site has been hacked by someone. I was going to login to my account to get the full list of books that I’ve read and update it now I can’t. I haven’t place the javaScript for my books code on my weblog in awhile, but still I wanted to update my list and add a few more books. Looks like I’’ll have to try to find my backup list of the books.
Actually this was more of a crack than a hack since it fudged up the creator Erik Benson’s servers. Thus mucking up other peoples’ sites and I’m not talking about just a handful of people here.
They’re replaying Azumanga Daioh episodes in the Anime Network section of Comcast’s On Demand but this time around they’re adding English translation text to some of the titles to scene sections. This blows major chunks for me. I liked it better the first time around without the translation text. I guess it’s good for those who don’t understand Japanese or have Japanese/English dictionaries. Still—it takes some of the fun out of it. Vocals are in English but some text has the translation added below the Japanese.
Luckily, another On Demand anime that’s started anew doesn’t have any translation added…yet. Cromartie High School. This one has become a new favorite of mine. Way too hilarious!
A little snip of local news for today: On Friday the Seventh Street bridge was renamed in honor of local native Andy Warhol. This also makes it the first bridge in the U.S. that is named for an artist. The renaming also helped commemorate 10th anniversary of the Andy Warhol Museum

While I was walking to work last night I saw a little animal scurrying along the sidewalk catty-cornered from me. A bit of a strange sight considering that this is Downtown Pittsburgh and you don’t get to see this type of creature around here in the middle of the city. I could tell it was dark with white fur along its’ back. From the shape and the tail I knew right away it wasn’t a stray cat, dog, squirrel or raccoon for that matter. It was a skunk. Yep—a skunk! A lady nearby also saw the it and mentioned that you usually only see them in the country.
I waited until it crossed the street in a different direction to go about my way. I almost change my route completely. The last thing I wanted to do is get stuck on the same side of the street as this skunk and all of a sudden it gets the jitters or paranoia.
It probably hitched a ride on the back of a pickup truck or something. I can’t imagine it hopped on and off a bus.
Maybe it was on its way to the North Side to see George W. and his wife. I guess it might take it a few hours to get to the North Side on foot and maybe it wanted to get there rather early and before the press. Not sure when they’re (“G.W.” and “L”) due in the North Side but it’s sometime today.
