DMX playground & Calling planet Earth…link

Decided to go online and check my e-mails. I don’t check my Yahoo online mail regularly like my main Earthlink account on Outlook Express 6. I am in transition to switching to Mozilla. Just two unread. Yahoo now has a new service that sets up a junk/spam mail filter and moves what is suspected to be spam to a new “Bulk” mailbox. No more sorting and sifting and weeding out spam. It, in theory, will be located in one spot. Nice. The other unread was from when I registered with DMX Music for their online player and unsuccessfully downloaded their DMX Music Playground player. I decided to check out the site to see if there was any type of problems noted about bad downloads. I was multitasking and downloading one than that at the same time and surfing. There, at times, can be 4 or more items open on my taskbar. I’m no stranger to Windows keyboard shortcuts like holding down Alt and tapping Tab. Any way, My connection must have been clogged and was going sluggish. I downloaded the player again. Everything was fine and installed fine. Now I have an online music player installed again.

I had to switch the songs quick as soon as the player started… The Spice Girls… uuugh! Yep, I had to find a way to change the song real fast. I was also able to give it a rating of “x” from the rating levels of “x–1–2–3–4–5”. “5” means: like it a lot, play it often. An “x”: …well you can guess what that means.

There are only 12 program stations on the online player. Not even half as many as you can get on TV. It like the TV service is commercial free. Although there are minor 16 second station IDs played every once in a while online. Still it is fine with me. On TV I listen to Trends, online Dance.

Quickly got through to Earthlink Web Hosting via phone. It pays to call as soon as they open the phone lines. I guess the e-mail I sent earlier this week on the 23rd didn’t get anywhere. Turns out I was on a really old plan called “Starter Site&8221;. This was set up back in 2000. I guess things changed when I wasn’t looking! Could explain why the e-mails were not answered, probably old addresses. Their newer starting package has 190 more MB! than what I had and up to 30 mailboxes for about $5 more than what I’m paying now. Plus they were having a special. First month charges are waved.
